Vinyasa

In this class, we focus our “Body”, “Sensation” and “Mind” with Slow Vinyasa Yoga.

Mindfulness means bringing your awareness into the present moment, of noticing and accepting what is happening right now without judgment.

As we practice mindfulness, we learn to be a silent observer of our thoughts or emotions without the need to get involved with them, and then experiencing the moment.

It can help reduce the stress we accumulate throughout the day.

a

Restorative

Some postures will be more supported by props such as cushions and blankets to allow for a deep release and nurturing experience.

Both of these style of yoga promote you drop into a deeply relaxing space by letting go of tension, help you regain the equilibrium of your body/spirit and allow deep surrender and opening.

a

Yin

Some postures will be focused on holding for a long time in areas that often get tight, such as the hips and lower back, using the breath to explore body sensations and invite deeper release.

Meditation

About Me

I’m Mika Ishige from Japan. My journey of yoga started in 2005, I have been teaching yoga since 2007.

I’m passionate about yoga as a tool for transformation and awakening. I always feel that teaching is learning. I see my students as my teachers. I would like my students to explore, release, experience inner and outer transformation–and have fun. I aim to share the importance of continual challenges and of observing to one’s own body-mind state as critical aspects of individual growth and transformation. Yoga is an essential part of my life and I will continue my beautiful journey of yoga to learn and explore to deepen my experience and knowledge throughout my life.

  • 200-Hour yoga teacher training with Louisa Sear from Yoga Arts (Yoga Alliance®- registered Yoga course) in 2007
  • Restorative yoga teacher training with Cyndi Lee from OM Yoga in 2010
  • My yoga style is mixed Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative Yoga.
